Welcome to the JUNGLE!(queue Gun's N' Roses) Come on out to the Team Texas Training center (aka Summit Carrollton) on Saturday, April 22, 2023, for our very first Jumps N' Stuff competition!This is a redpoint bouldering competition, but not just ANY redpoint comp. Unlike SBS or Spring Open, this comp will primarily consist of jumps, coordination, campusing, and any other wild routes the setters will come up with. The theme is jungle, so come dressed in your best beast! This competition will start EARLIER than our other competitions, so please pay attention to your time slot. Wave 1: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm (Check-in 10:00 am) Wave 2: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Check-in 3:00 pm) Each wave has 3 hours to climb and log your sends into KAYA. The onsight final for our top 5 Elite climbers will take place around 8:00 pm - spectating is free and open to anyone! Competitor tickets are $40 and spectators are $25. Your ticket provides you with food & drinks (ID must be presented) at the end of each wave. Finalists will be called at ~7:30 pm, so all Elite climbers should be present at that time. Category Breakdown: Female, Male, Non-Binary Beginner: VB - V2 (White, Yellow and Green) Hopping skills, playground master Intermediate: V2 - V4 (Red and Blue) Solid jumping skills, maze runner Advanced: V5 - V8 (Orange and Purple) High-level jumping skills, parkour aficionado Elite: V8+ (Pink and Black) Epic jumping skills, basically a ninja Prizes: Men, Woman, and Non-binary are in separate categories Elite category (Cash prize): 1st prize - $200 2nd place - $150 3rd place - $75 All other categories (Summit Gift Card prize): 1st place - $25 2nd place - $10 3rd place - $5 Here's how our redpoint competition will work: You will be able to climb as many boulder problems as you want as many times as you want.Each boulder problem will have a point value to it.Your top five boulder problems count as your total score. There will be no flash bonus.Honor system, so please no cheating!We will be using the KAYA app, so make sure you have it installed and set-up before the competition!
