Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music as we continue with our popular "Family Day" on April 8th from 1-4 p.m. This event offers free admission and is ideal for children of all ages. Come and enjoy live music, arts and crafts, games, and other engaging activities throughout the afternoon. The event aims to promote more exposure to the arts and offers an excellent opportunity to learn about Memphis history and the significant role Stax Records played. According to Stax Museum executive director Jeff Kollath, "Family Day" has become one of our most popular days of the month. Although we offer free admission for Shelby County residents every Tuesday from 1-5 pm, this event provides parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and others more time to visit us on the weekend and learn more about the music created at Stax while having a good time. During "Family Day," visitors have access to the entire museum, including the newly renovated introductory theater, lobby, gift shop, and lounge. Best of all, the regular $13 admission fee is waived for everyone from 1-4 pm! Join us as we say thanks and invite more kids to discover the history and magic of Memphis and Stax!
