April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month!This class is designed for Hillsborough County residents only who are either expecting or have an infant ages 0-24 months old. Parents with toddlers up to age 5 years old are also welcome to come and learn! We will cover a variety of safety topics such as SIDS and how to lower your baby's risk of SIDS both during pregnancy and after birth, Safe Sleep recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics, and how to recognize and prevent child abuse such as Shaken Baby Syndrome. We encourage questions and participation throughout the class so that attendees get as personalized of an experience as possible. This class will be held in-person at the Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex. Every family who attends will receive a pack of diapers, wipes, and other little goodies and resources for you and the baby! (Hillsborough County residents only.)
