Meet The Speakers Veronica Johnson Veronica Johnson is the Director of Certification for the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council. She came to the organization in 2007 and began as a Certification Assistant. Since then, Great Lakes WBC has seen an increase of over 800 certified women-owned businesses. Currently, 1,400 certified women's business enterprises represent $ 12.3 billion in annual revenue and 48,500 U.S. workers. Veronica oversees all aspects of the certification process, program growth, and staff, managing certification review committee meetings and representing Great Lakes WBC in the community. Simone McNitt Simone McNitt is the Founder and Executive Director of Encore Employment Enterprise, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists in placing experienced workers aged 50 and older in meaningful paid jobs with age-friendly employers in the Greater Cleveland community. Simone is a Society of Human Resource Management certified professional and a certified Women Business Enterprise, Minority Business Enterprise and Small Business Enterprise owner, mentors experienced professionals, providing guidance and tools to assist individual in developing their marketable skills.
