Description

The overall goal of the Simpson-Ramsey Neurodevelopment Symposium is to highlight translational research in developmental disabilities across the lifespan and from a multidisciplinary perspective. This event attracts a broad audience of academics, professionals, trainees, families, and self-advocates and is supported in part by the UAB Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program, the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC), and the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. This is a full-day CE event with an agenda highlighting local and national speakers as well as current and former trainees. This event is being held in person this year, and we are in the process of requesting CEU/CME for a range of professionals. Approvals will be posted soon! Lunch is available for the first 100 registrants. We are also currently accepting abstracts for poster presentations at the Symposium. The poster presentations are intended to highlight student/trainee research related to neurodevelopmental disabilities. Accepted posters will be presented in person on the day of the conference and two of the submitted abstracts will be selected for a 15-minute oral presentation in the morning or afternoon of the Symposium. Submissions are due by 8 am on Monday, April 3, 2023. Abstracts can be submitted here: bit.ly/S-RPoster2023
