BOSTON SQUARE COMMUNITY HUB 1534 Kalamazoo Ave. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49507 4:00 - 7:00 pm Ceremony + Community Celebration Boston Square Together is hosting a "Raise the Roof" event to kick off construction with a "sky-breaking" ceremony between 4 - 5 pm followed by a community celebration from 5 - 7 pm. WHO: NeighborsCommunity stakeholdersLocal leadersBoston Square Together: The City of Grand Rapids, Oakdale Neighbors, Boston Square Neighborhood Association and Amplify GRCommunity hub partners: Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC), IFF, Kent County, PNC and more WHAT: Join us as we ceremoniously "Raise the Roof" through a "sky-breaking." Similar to a groundbreaking, this will mark the start of construction on one of the neighborhoods' top priorities - a community hub! Construction on the current building will include an actual raising of the roof (not during the April 26 event) to create a two-story building. The ceremony will mark the occasion in a spectator-friendly fashion. RSVP is encouraged but not required.
