Everyone is invited to Opening Weekend at the Noah Hallock Homestead in Rocky Point! We are delighted to welcome guests back into the historic house built in 1721 after being closed for COVID, as well as for major restoration projects that are still going on in parts of the house and grounds. Take a step back into colonial times with a fascinating fact-filled Docent Tour or take a self-guided tour through the house, which is filled with historic artifacts, photos and stories (limited at this time to the Rocky Point Room, Farm Room, and Radio Room). Stop by our Gift Shop and walk the grounds. Several large sandstones from the former LIRR bridge over Hallock Landing Road are now on view, having recently been relocated to the house from the beach nearby. Take a short walk up the block to the Hallock Cemetery and view tombstones dating back to Revolutionary War times. Starting April 1st, the house will be open for self-guided and Docent Tours every Saturday until October from 1 to 4pm. Donations welcome. Volunteers always invited to join our dedicated team.
