Get crafty and learn how to Crochet a Basket with Amanda, of Creative Retreat. In this 2 part intermediate workshop, attendees will crochet a unique basket using T shirt yarn with a wooden base. Students will be guided throughout the workshop with verbal and written instructions on how to create this fun project. All materials will provided. Materials include: one wooden base, one skein of t-shirt yarn, two crochet hooks and written instructions. The basket measures approximately 8 inches in diameter and 6 inches in height. Students in this class will create a fun basket that they will take home along with the crochet hook and pattern they used to create the basket. This class has two parts, Sun. 4/16- 11-2, and Sun., 4/23 11-2.*Please Note-Crocheting experience required!Recommended Prerequisite - Beginner Crochet a Scarf Although this pattern is fairly easy, all students attending the class should have some small basic knowledge of crocheting prior to taking the class. Amanda was born, raised, and currently resides in Northport. She has a BSN in Apparel & Textiles from Oneonta State University, as well as an associate's degree in Fashion Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology. On top of her creative studies, she received a BSN in Nursing at Adelphi University and currently works as a registered nurse. Amanda is still very passionate about art, and she also teaches the Mandala Art Dot Classes at the Nest.
