Paddle Perry, Inc. partners with ACA instructor George Davis to offer a Cold Water Safety Presentation, followed by an opportunity to practice rescue and paddling skills in the pool.
This event will take place at the Tell City Jr./Sr. High School Pool located on the Tell Street side of the school. (This is an indoor pool!)

The presentation is FREE and open to the public, and will take place from 4-5 p.m. CST and provide information about cold water safety. Mr. Davis will also touch on the basics of paddling: general safety, roll, rescue, and strokes. While we will be using kayaks for this event, much of the knowledge and basic mechanics are applicable to other paddlecraft. No ticket is necessary for this portion of the event.

There will be an opportunity to practice rescue and paddling skills from 5-6 p.m. CST in the pool.
Paddle Perry, Inc. will provide a life jackets, paddle and paddlecraft with each ticket sold for the practice session from 5-6 p.m. CST. Limited spots available.
Itinerary for the day (all times are CST):
4-5 p.m. Safety Presentation (FREE and open to the public)
5-6 p.m. Practice Session in Pool (You must purchase a ticket for this portion of the event. $15/person to cover insurance.)
Things to bring: change of clothes, boating or water shoes, and a life jacket if bringing your own (you MUST wear a life jacket during this event while on the water).
You will be required to sign two waivers before event begins.
