Volunteer for an amazing 5K event that celebrates the joy of movement and supports youth and TWO great causes in the Midlands. Kaden Bagley (15) was involved in an accident in 2021 which resulted in him having his leg amputated below the knee. Kaden and the James Thomas Foundation are making an impact. The JTF provides children living with limb loss and limb difference with the prostheses they need throughout their growing years while serving as a caring resource, advocate and support system for JTF Kids and their families. Girls on the Run inspires 3rd-8th grade girls to build confidence and make intentional decisions, while fostering care and compassion for self and others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills in every girl while encouraging healthy habits for life. Over 270 girls, along with their coaches and buddies will join the 5Kaden event! Why volunteer? By volunteering for this fun event, you'll be ensuring this event is fun and safe for the youth and families participating. IMPORTANT - MANDATORY Background Check The last day to sign-up to volunteer is Monday, April 24 and all volunteers over the age of 18 are required to complete a background check by April 25.   for instructions. If you have previously completed a background check for GOTR, you DO NOT need to re-submit information through our system.
