Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists Continuing Education presents the 2023 Hand and Wrist Symposium. This interdisciplinary event will feature speakers from all disciplines of the hand and wrist. The overarching goal of this program is to provide a general overview of evaluation and treatment of common and uncommon upper extremity pathologies. Registration opens at 7:30, presentations start at 8:00. Breakfast and refreshments are included with in person attendance. Presenters:All of the physician members of our Hand and Wrist Team are board certified orthopaedic surgeons. SOS Hand and Wrist Team: Dr. Nathan Everding, Dr. Michael Fitzgerald, Dr. Alan Lemley, and Dr. Devon Ryan. See agenda and schedule below. 8-11am Mixed Topics including, anatomy overview, physical exam, imaging selection, and more! 11-12 Panel Discussion: The Interdisciplinary Hand and Wrist Team *Topics subject to changes as provider schedules can change unexpectedly. Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is accredited by The Medical Society of the State of New York to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists designates this live lecture program for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (BOC AP# P10096) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 3.5 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Physical Therapy as an approved provider of physical therapy and physical therapist assistant continuing education. This program is eligible for a maximum of 4.2 contact hours. Participants should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Occupational Therapy as an approved provider of occupational therapy and occupational therapist assistant continuing education. This program is eligible for a maximum of 4 contact hours. Participants should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.**Details regarding commercial support for this program can be requested from the SOS Continuing Education Committee. Registrants wishing to receive reimbursement for events that charge a fee must do so in writing (email responses are acceptable). Requests received up to 72 hours prior to the start of the event will be given a full refund. In the event of an emergency, health or travel-related reason for needing to cancel after the 72 hour deadline, a written request for refund must be received within 24 hours of the conclusion of the event. Special circumstantial cancellations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and up to a 75% refund may be issued.**
