During this visit, the beautiful replicas of the Monastery Church and the words from Sacred Scripture and from St Francis of Assisi are used to help us reflect on the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. The visit includes replicas in the upper Church and in the lower gardens: • the Grotto of Gethsemane, where Jesus often stayed with his Apostles and where he was betrayed by Judas • The Altar of Calvary, where Christ died for love of us • The Anointing stone, where his body was prepared for burial • The Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was laid to rest on Good Friday and where on Easter Sunday his victory over sin and death was made manifest Note: This Visit Does Not Include the Lower Church or the Catacombs
