We encourage everyone to read the book in advance to ensure lively discussion. Be sure to bring your book for the author's autograph and additional copies will be available for purchase. Buy "Race and Politics in the American South" Fayette County Community Remembrance Coalition was created in response to a mutual aspiration of community members to bring the education about the lynchings of African Americans in our county to community. One of our main goals is to give our community opportunities to engage in dialogues and reflections to help bring understanding, healing and a stronger community among our citizens. We hope that these projects would result in a fuller and more accurate understanding of our shared history and a way to honor the memories of those who have been mostly forgotten.
