Join Get Your Tail on the Trail's free trail walking program this year called Health and Heritage Walks. Add any or all of these walks to your exercise repertoire to meet new people, learn new things, and experience different areas of the D&L trail. Join Vince Hydro, guest speaker, as we explore the remnants of the Lehigh Tannery factory. The walk will head south on the D&L Trail to the ruins of the Lehigh Tannery. The tannery was the largest in the United States in the 1860s and 70s. At its peak, it produced 80,000 hides per year. Distance is approximately 3 miles roundtrip along flat terrain. If there’s time, we will head north of White Haven to see the remains of one of the Upper Grand Section locks. We will be meeting at the White Haven Trail Head. However, as there is no real address there use Pocono Biking's address as listed and then Pass Pocono Biking and continue until you reach the paved parking lot at White Haven’s Trail Head. There is no rain date for this event.
