We’re opening the doors of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse to host an afternoon, or low tea hour. Each session will explore the history of Stoney Creek Village, as we celebrate its Bicentennial. Guests get the chance to interact with artifacts and documents normally stored safely away in the collections room, while enjoying the ambiance of the 1840s Van Hoosen Farmhouse. This unique opportunity is limited to 12 people. Tea and light snack will be served.
04/04 Gatherings in Stoney Creek VillageFrom 1940 field trips to carving the Thanksgiving turkey, learn about all the local organizations and people that called Stoney Creek Village a community gathering space. The Van Hoosen ladies welcomed the Holstein Breeders Association annual picnic, hosted the Rochester Garden Club, and even invited distant relatives for family reunions. Sift through photos of these memories and hear their stories.
