In this beginner class you will learn the basics of working with buttercream while creating a 6" mini cake with a basket design. Vanessa, from Sweet Details GR, will guide you and share some of the tips and tricks she has learned during the +10 years she has been baking professionally. You will leave the class with the skills and confidence to wow your family and friends. FEATURED TECHNIQUES: How to color buttercream. How to fill a pipping bag. Use of decorating tips. Composition. Pipping skills. Color theory. How to stack and frost a cake. Decorating tips. Basket texture. Grass texture. Basic florals. What is included with your ticket? * Baked cake layers. * Buttercream and tools. * Buttercream practice sheet. * Step by step instructions as well as space for you to be creative. * Candy bar to decorate your cake. * Box to take your cake home. * Complimentary snacks and refreshments. * One seat at the class (tickets are personal) You will practice basic piping techniques and will walk away with a set of beautifully decorated cake plus new skills.
