Learn the tricks to making your very own delicious pies with expert baking team of Honeypie Cafe & Bakeshop.  Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our brother cafe, Palomino, our hands-on classes will guide you through a variety of different aspects of pie making and give you a peek into the life of a bakeshop.  In each class you will bake your own treats to take home.  There will be lots of room for questions and answers during each class so come with all of your crust conundrums and filling inquiries .  Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people.  Class requires that you stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen, please let us know if you need any accomodation we can arrange.  We ask that attendees are at least 14 years old. Please wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes and clothes you don't mind getting flour on. This workshop is a lesson in making pie dough and turning it into a blind crust for baking our favorite custard pies such as chess, buttermilk and quiches.   We will have a lesson in handling pie dough, rolling and baking a "blind" crust. We will bake them off with custard and quiche fillings.  Pies will be baked during class so you will have time for plenty of questions and answers and hanging out with your new pie-loving friends. You will have made two 8" pies to take home at the end of class. Tickets for class includes all of your ingredients, recipes with tips and tricks and a drink ticket for the bar.     (Please note, we often have long wait lists for our pie classes.  Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice.  If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list.  If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket.  You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
