Join us in welcoming author and journalist Mark Follman to Seattle for a conversation about mass shootings and how these tragedies can be prevented through the growing field of behavioral threat assessment. Follman's book, Trigger Points: Inside the Mission to Stop Mass Shootings in America, chronicles the rise of this community-oriented solution and how expert teams work to avert attacks at schools and other public places.
In this evening’s two-part program, Follman will share insights from his eight years of research into the history, successes, and challenges of threat assessment. He will then join in conversation with Kristina Froling, Executive Director of the Koshka Foundation and survivor of the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, whose experience and unique leadership role in school safety are among the stories featured in Trigger Points.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required to attend.
Signed Books: Please select the “Book Ticket” if you would like to purchase a specially signed copy of Trigger Points. Books must be purchased in advance using this ticket registration; copies will not be sold at the venue. Proceeds will help support the Koshka Foundation.
