Join us in learning about the latest research on the challenges facing family, youth, and children's ministry and the critical role that families play in forming the faith of the next generation. Rev. Dr. Katie Douglass will share the latest research on faith formation and family ministry, exposing the belief among parents and caregivers that they are the primary source of Christian formation for their children. We will look at the historic relationship between families and congregations regarding Christian education and consider the role of congregations moving forward. Faculty from the school of psychology, the school of theology, and multiethnic ministries will be leading focused sessions on crucial topics like supporting families through divorce, the moral development of young kids, reading challenging Biblical texts with kids, and cultivating healthy cultural identity in your congregation.
