Topics Covered Light - How to use light direction for maximum impact Lens Choice - How different lenses can yield dramatically different results Composition - Quick tricks to get the "wow" factor Objective This workshop serves as a great starting point for those seeking to improve their nature photography, especially outdoor floral photography. Audience This class is targeted for all levels of photographers who love the outdoors and want to improve their nature photography. Schedule & Format This two-hour class consists of a short lecture then practice on the grounds of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The instructor will visit with students to provide tips and tricks the help their floral photography. What to Bring There is no required equipment other than your camera, but polarizers, neutral density filters, and tripods are recommended. About the Instructor The instructor for this class is Austin Master Photographer Tim Babiak. Tim is a full-time photographer and a long-time instructor at PCU. Tim serves on the Board of Directors of the Austin Professional Photographers Association and is a two-time recipient of the Photographer of the Year award from the Austin Professional Photographers Association. Tim is also a two-time Bronze Medalist in PPA’s International Print Competition. Tim is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman and Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) via the Professional Photographers of America. Please review our class cancellation policy below. Class & Event Cancellations Tier 2: Special Events and One-Time Classes You have up until seven days before a scheduled Mock Wedding, Flash Fest, Portraits in Depth Series, Photo Campouts (including Spring and Fall Photo Camping Extravaganza), special events and one-time classes to cancel and receive a full refund or to reschedule. If you do not show up for a tier 2 class your registration will be forfeited and you will not be permitted a refund or to reschedule. Cancellations made within 7 days of the class will receive a 50% refund. Minimum Enrollment Each class needs a minimum number of students to enroll before the class can “make.” If the minimum enrollment has not been met two business days before the class begins, the class will be cancelled. All students who enrolled in the class will be notified by telephone or email, and may transfer to a different class or be issued a refund (see refund procedure). We encourage all students to enroll as soon as registration begins. Please check your phone and email messages, including your SPAM. How to Reschedule or Cancel a Class Please contact the store at 512-467-7676 or email [email protected] to cancel a class. Class cancellations or requests to be rescheduled that are sent through other channels, such as Facebook or Meetup.com messages, will not be honored.
