The first Earth Day was held in 1970. Earth Day is a call for each of us to do our part in reducing the damage that we do and to help restore the environment. The Earth is our wonderful home and really our spaceship traveling through space. It is an amazing world that provides the resources that we need to live. It has beauty and wonder with nature, trees, plants, wildlife, animals, and us. It thrives in balance and unfortunately humans disrupt that balance. We need to work to reduce the effects of humankind on nature and restore our Earth.
