The Division of University Advancement is cordially inviting you to the N.C. A&T's Women in Philanthropy Education Seminar - Ladies Who Brunch - on Friday, April 21, at the Student Center on campus. During the event, Mrs. Davida Martin, the first lady of North Carolina A&T State University, will deliver the welcome address and Kimberly Goins, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lincoln/Lancaster County is the keynote speaker. Also, there will be breakout sessions with three dynamic speakers:  Debra Jessup, Esq., an estate planning attorney, Holly Reid, CPA, a Financial Educator, and Kimberly Hines Winborne, a Business, Communication, and Finance Consultant.   The seminar is an excellent opportunity for women to come together and discuss ways to support our university through philanthropy.  The event will also include a brunch and networking mimosa reception. Speaker Bios Debra Ragin Jessup Debra Ragin Jessup brings a wide array of experience to Surratt Thompson & Ceberio. Debra earned her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and is a graduate of Georgetown University where she majored in Government. Debra focuses her law in Elder Law, Wills and Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, Business Succession Planning and Disability Law. Debra serves on the Board of Directors for the Bethlehem Center and Yadkin Valley Economic Development District. She is a member of the Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, and North Carolina Bar Associations. Debra is married to Manuel Jessup and they have two children, Harrison and Hilary. Holly Reid Holly Reid is an award-winning author, speaker, and Financial Education Instructor dedicated to helping her audiences manage their finances as responsible stewards. She is the founder of The Master Playbook, a financial education and wellness company which has educated thousands of people through her book, Teach Your Child to Fish: Five Money Habits Every Child Should Master, Money Camps for Kids, and curated workshops for teens, parents and adults using sound financial principles, practical tips and her personal experiences. As a personal finance advocate, Holly is on a mission to motivate, inspire, and help families break the cycle of paycheck to paycheck living and create a legacy worth leaving. Holly’s philosophy is grounded in the basic principles of living debt-free, saving for the uture, and investing wisely. She believes each person has the power to create a healthy financial future and is equipped to meet people where they are on their financial journey. Holly is a Certified Public Accountant and finance professional with over 15 years of experience. She has been quoted in major publications including Forbes, Parent Circle, AARP, Go Banking Rate, Conde Nast Traveler, and more. Kimberly Goins Kimberly Goins is a passionate advocate for underserved children and their families, focused on leading a revolutionary culture shift to end multigenerational poverty by creating a continuum of care that supports the entire family, while also bringing to life and celebrating the many contributions of African-Americans in the Lincoln community. Kimberly has over two decades of comprehensive experience working with national nonprofits, Inc. 500 and early stage companies in marketing, fundraising and community engagement. She currently serves on the LPS School Foundation Board, Nebraska Children’s & Family Foundation, Racial & Ethnic Disparities Committee for Lancaster County, Nebraska Table, and the Lincoln Justice Council. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. Kimberly has been recognized for her business acumen and marketing talent winning the W3 Web Award for Nonprofit Marketing. Other honors include the Who’s Who in Black Dallas- Rising Star Award, African-American Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year Award, Finalist for Marketer of the Year from the American Marketing Association and a proud graduate of Leadership Tyler Class 20. Kimberly attended LeTourneau University. She is married to Anthony Goins; they are the proud parents of four children and five grandchildren. Kimberly Hines Winborne Author Kimberly Hines Winborne, Money & Mindset Win Strategist and owner of Kimberly Winborne, LLC is a Business, Communication, and Finance Consultant; a motivated entrepreneur of more than 20 years who helps entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to access their next level and win through personal, professional, and financial development and resources. She uses this same model to support women in transition through her nonprofit, Beauty 180, Inc. Kimberly is the founder of a business networking group called Visionary Networking Circle, The Collaboration Culture, and leader in another, Triangle Entrepreneurial Leadership. Kimberly is a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), with a focus on family legacy. She teaches her clients how to attain financial security, and overcome the debilitating cycle of debt, as well as strategies to build and sustain a solid financial foundation. She developed a program to help her clients to eliminate toxic financial habits while learning healthy ones, known as The Debt Detox™, which is now a book available on Amazon. Kimberly is the Founder of Coffee and Collaborations Media, which started as a podcast that focuses on helping entrepreneurs, leaders, and organizations build revenue through effective communication, build relationships through intentional networking, and excel in collaboration skills. As the podcast continued to grow, the company then expanded into a media company that has added a television talk show called L.O.V.E & Flow TV, The Collaboration Culture Podcast, and The Counterculture Show. Kimberly is a community builder who believes that we can all attract our "tribe" instead of chasing it. She has helped to build several communities by sharing her winning strategy. Among the communities that she has helped to build, her favorite is her ministry The Praying SheE.O. This community pushed her deeper into her purpose, and she is now full steam ahead in the mission to help other business owners spread the message of Jesus Christ through their businesses. Kimberly Winborne, #borntowin believes that entrepreneurship and education are key components of financial freedom. As a Speaker, she has a commitment to audiences to share the message that we are all born to win, as well as a passion to show them how. Her companies are founded to support communities, through business development, financial literacy, and education. She sits on the Advisory Board of the LYA Program of the YMCA, was formerly a SCORE mentor, is a member of eWomen Network, and has served several organizations throughout the Triangle area.
