Cardiovascular disease is the single greatest cause of death in the United States. Every year more than 480,000 adult Americans die of a heart attack or related complications. The victim of an emergency such as a heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, or choking may be saved if people at the scene have had the lifesaving skills and techniques training.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving technique that can be used to revive a person whose heart has stopped beating. Knowing when to use CPR is essential, as it can make the difference between life and death.
Because we care so much about the community knowing CPR, every second Sunday of the month we will host a free CPR and First Aid class to the community at our Durham office location from 3-7pm.
You will not receive a AHA certification card but will be given a Cherished CPR course completion certification.
