Come along on a fungal walk led by naturalist Aaron Tupac (they/them), exploring the many ways fungi teach us about the interconnectedness of all life on earth. How can we learn with our fungal neighbors to take better care of our planet? What does reciprocity with fungi look like?
We will explore the fungi all around us that sustain Arlington Garden and the region. As a kingdom, they are some of the most ancient forms of life on our planet and have thrived for over a billion years. Our fauna and flora depend on their fungal neighbors, perhaps it's time we take closer notice.
We have so much yet to learn from fungi. Come along on this exploration of Arlington Garden to learn the lessons fungi offer us in reconnecting with the land.
Aaron Tupac (they/them) is a naturalist and organizer behind Exploring the Mycoverse, a community science project dedicated to fungi and hosted by Arlington Garden. Tupac-Thompson organizes "fungi reading discussions, fungi film screenings, fungi forays, fungi feasts ... all to connect fungi-curious folks with each other and fungi."
