Not to mention... participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to "graft" scion wood from one tree onto another. Do you know what that means?! Yes, it's true... You can have several varieties of fruits growing on the same root stock/ tree trunk. And, you can learn how to do this at home. How about them apples? Come join us to find out more.

Topics will include discussion on seasonality and timing for tree maintenance, proper cuts, tree part identification, grafting methods, and tool selection.
Participants are invited to learn the basics of caring for fruit trees. This session will demonstrate various pruning and grafting techniques that you can try at home.
The Foodscapes Educator will bring tools and plant material for a hands on demonstration of tree caretaking techniques. Get ready to try your hand at some pruning and grafting cuts on scion wood and fruit tree material.
