SMART Friends and Family is a support group that recognizes that being in a close relationship with someone struggling with an addiction can be frustrating, painful, and sometimes lonely, in which it is easy to lose one’s bearings. Participating in a supportive group environment, of people sharing similar experiences, will hopefully lessen feelings of isolation and instill a sense of hope. SMART Family and Friends focus less on the Loved One who is struggling and offers participants to spend some time exploring ways to look after themselves better, even in difficult and stressful circumstances, and better understanding to establish healthier relationships with their Loved One. Meetings will be held at Eastern Shore Community Services Prevention Office at 15150 Merry Cat Belle Haven, VA 23306. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
