Description
The Catfish Derby & Riverfest is back this year with another great lineup of musical talent, including headliner Jo Dee Messina presently on her Heads Carolina-Tails California Greatest Hits tour. We are thrilled that Savannah, Tennessee, is part of her iconic tour! Kicking off the music portion of Riverfest will be Savannah local BLAKE WALLEY featuring Annelise Bess. Blake and Annelise are well known around the greater Savannah region for their Classic Country, Blues, and Southern Rock performances. Savannah, Tennessee native CALEB KELLEY is next with one of his high-energy performances. Caleb's roots have always been grounded in country music, from touring with a bluegrass band and a southern gospel group. He soon began to record and release music, with several of those hitting marks on the Music Row charts. His latest release is "Dry Spell." The GARY NICHOLS BAND follows Caleb Kelley in the lineup. Gary spent seven years with the Steeldrivers, stepping in for founding member Chris Stapleton and leading the Steeldrivers to win their Best Bluegrass Album Grammy Award. Gary is back with his new band featuring his son, Trey Nichols, a talented musician. CHASE WRIGHT takes the stage next. Chase is a bold new Nashville artist with a freewheeling approach to the genre, firm footing in relatable storytelling and a soft spot for big choruses. Respect for country music’s way around a story without feeling beholden to it defines the Indiana native’s energetic songs, which rely on electric loops and pop-rock chords alongside more traditional sounds made from steel strings and wood. It’s a confident blend that belies the fact that 25-year-old Chase first picked up a guitar as a freshman track star at DePauw University. After graduating with a degree in economics, Chase packed his bags for Nashville, where he has since earned a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music and signed with Morris Higham for management. Wright’s debut album Intertwined is available now. And warming up the stage before Headliner Jo Dee Messina will be ALEXANDRA KAY, who has worked with some of the most iconic names in the music industry, like Randy Travis, Tim McGraw, and Scott Stapp of Creed. Alexandra made her Grand Ole Opry debut on November 19, 2022. The coffee-making, sing-along videos, and Facebook Live Streams that got millions of people through the Covid-19 quarantine put Alexandra Kay on the map. Generating millions of plays weekly on her videos and chart-topping original music, she commands the attention of country music fans. She brings country music back to its roots with a voice reminiscent of Dolly Parton, Alison Kraus, and Lee Ann Womack. Then the moment you've been waiting for JO DEE MESSINA takes the stage. Jo Dee Messina is one of the most iconic country artists of the '90s and '00s, always bringing a passionate, high-energy show. Most known for her single "Heads Carolina, Tails California," Jo Dee has nine No. 1 hits and sixteen Top 40 songs and has been recognized by the ACM Awards, CMA Awards, and GRAMMY Awards.
