“Walk Good” is a Jamaican expression used to wish a person the very best in their endeavors and to travel with good spirits, peace, love, and affection towards others. And WalkGood LA and In The Cut are coming together to bring you an experience unlike any other. Taking place in the heart of Los Angeles, FilmGood is a 2-day film festival that FilmGood offers a block of 6 short film screenings, skill-building workshops, industry panels, networking opportunities, and wellness experiences to provide emerging, underrepresented filmmakers a platform to learn, grow, & share their filmed work. This free festival aims to showcase well-made, thought-provoking, and unseen work, while building an inclusive community among filmmakers, artists, attendees, & esteemed industry guests. LOOK BACK AT IT Director: Felicia Pride A forty-something single mother gets her groove back with assistance from her teenage daughter. LOOK BACK AT IT is set in Baltimore and also serves as a proof of concept for a feature film. DOS BROS FORCE Director: Kalyan Sura In a struggling immigrant household, a little girl’s birthday wish and her brother’s well-intentioned mistake teach their workaholic father that being present is as important as working for their future. OMI Director: Kelly Fyffe-Marshall A father-son fishing trip is unexpectedly flipped. DECEMEBER 21ST Directors: Benjamin Abiola & Travis Blackwell On Dec. 21st 2020, The solar system’s largest planets collide to create a bright point in the sky that gifts Black people supernatural powers. Jamal's powers help him discover a new world. A TOUCH OF KINDNESS Director: Justin Rowe Tolliver A documentary short that aims to contribute to the conversation surrounding how we as individuals deal with mental health in America.
