In celebration of Women’s History Month, join us for this Faber Center Deep Dive as we learn about the school’s founder, Darla Moore. In this interactive session, we’ll learn about the theory of change that Ms. Moore has catalyzed efforts like Artfields and Moore Farms Botanical Garden in Lake City, SC. We believe that USC community members and the broader public would delight in getting to know the visionary founder and gem who lives right in our own backyard.
The program will include the following:
A brief introduction to the fascinating figure of Darla Moore by Mara Zepeda, Faber Center Entrepreneur-in-Residence and co-founder of Cola Love, an economic development catalyst studio
We’ll then listen together to a brief podcast interview with Darla Moore and enjoy creative play and practice drawing and interpreting her message through art
We’ll conclude with a group discussion about Ms. Moore’s vision, creativity and leadership, and how these values might inform entrepreneurship and economic development more broadly in South Carolina.
