Description

As human beings, each of us possess Buddha Nature. This means that our true nature is sacred, and we all have the potential to develop compassion, courage, and wisdom. The confusing and powerful time in which we live creates many opportunities to develop these qualities, allowing us to help ourselves, and others, find more meaning and fulfillment in our lives. Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche and Anam Thubten will share Buddhist practices and perspectives on this timely topic. Practice of Dana In the Buddhist tradition, the practice of generosity, or dana, is a way of expressing one’s heartfelt gratitude for the teachings and the teacher with a monetary donation. You are invited to offer a monetary gift to Anam Thubten and Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche in support of their Dharma activities. Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche: https://lamalakshey.org/ Anam Thubten: https://www.dharmata.org Additional important Information: We ask that you make a commitment to participate in the full retreat from beginning to end. There are a couple of reasons why this is important. A retreat can have many twists and turns, with various experiences: some joyful, some difficult, some pleasant, some unpleasant, depending on our own inner process. However, the retreat is a process of transformation. So everyone is asked to make a sacred commitment to stay for the whole retreat, even when it is difficult, trusting in this process. Once a retreat begins, a sacred container is formed, made up of each person's good intentions to be fully present. Leaving the retreat before it is complete energetically breaks that sacred container for others. Our mutual presence supports each other. Thank you so much for contemplating this commitment and what it means for you and for your fellow participants. Other considerations: In the interest of keeping our community healthy while participating in group events at the space. we would like to share the current protocols. We ask that you use your best judgment when deciding to attend this event in person, taking into consideration your health and risk for severe illness. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, sore throat, fever, chills, aches, and so forth within 24 hours of this event. Thank you for taking the time to read through this document and we look forward to seeing you all soon! With gratitude, Tsinta Mani Volunteers Hosted by Tsinta Mani Sangha Santa Cruz, CA
