Description

1. Competing teams may have as many team members as they want. However, for the purpose of related publicity and awards presentations, only four team members will be considered “official” team members. Corporate teams can have six team members. 2. Each team will get two sacks of crawfish with their entry fee. We will also be providing Conecuh sausage if teams wish to include this. All additional ingredients and spices will be the responsibility of each team. 3. One admissions ticket will be given per team member. 4. There will be a Fans’ Champion, an official Judges’ Champion, and a Team Spirit Champion. Team costumes and booth decorations are encouraged as long as they are not a fire hazard. 5. Mandatory team captain’s meeting will be at The Shadow Barons Barn prior to event. Time and date to be determined closer to event. Here we will summarize the day’s planned activities and any last-minute questions. Captain’s, please submit your team’s name with your registration. 6. The last day to register your team will be April 23rd. 7. General admission wrist bands for people not competing will be $15 pre-order or $25 the day of the event. Tickets are available via The 50 Foundation Facebook page now. 8. Numbered team booth areas are pre-assigned and will be clearly marked for team location. 9. Teams can begin set-up after check-in the morning of the event and should be ready to serve at 11:00 am. 10. The Fans’ Champion voting will be throughout the entire event and will conclude at 3:00 pm. The official Judges’ Champion voting will be at 3:00 pm with winners announced after voting concludes. 11. The 50 Foundation and Jamie’s Joy are not responsible for providing any of the boiling equipment. Traditional boil setup includes a propane tank, a single flame propane stove, and a large pot, but teams are free to prepare however they see fit. Teams will have time to set up the morning of the event. **Propane tanks and any refills needed will be provided to each team. 12. Teams need to provide a fire extinguisher at their booth. 13. Contestants and sponsors may not sell food, drink, souvenirs, or other items to the public. 14. Each team will be provided with a dispenser of hand sanitizer to promote the cleanliness of those serving and consuming the food. 15. Trash cans and bags will be provided so please help clean up your area after you have finished cooking. 16. Abide by all local, state, and federal laws during this event. 17. All decisions are at the discretion of The 50 Foundation and Jamie’s Joy board members and decisions are final. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us.
