Are you curious about what plants and fungi are edible? Do you wonder what's tasty and how to prepare it? If you live in Central Florida and love plants and eating, this is the event for you! Kristin Powers will be teaching a class on easy-to-identify edibles and doing an urban plant identification walk in downtown Gainesville. This event is a benefit for the Civic Media Center, which is Gainesville's only independent library and activist space. Your $5 or more donation goes to keeping the doors open and knowledge flowing. By purchasing a ticket early, you will get digital handouts for the class. No experience is necessary. This event is for all ages and is family-friendly.
