No one works harder than a special needs mother and we 100% deserve the time out. But this isn't just time out, its encouragement and support from other mothers that 'get it'. Make time for you and your child, but without you child present. Come join us for a special night out. These nights out will be reoccurring so check the deets below for the dates in 2023. Looking forward to seeing you there! Before covid I hosted mothers brunch out, plus art workshops for special needs individuals and their families in conjunction with Hillsbrough County Parks and Rec. Since covid these events weren't something I've been able to initiate again, till now. According to Harvard medial; community support is the #1 reason for happiness. As special needs mothers we're very isolated, left to thinking, 'is it only me,' 'this is crazy, do others parents/ mothers experience this?' THEY DO! Crazy is the new normal. Lol As a single mom juggling 3 kids, a business and a non-profit, I'm here to tell you, its all crazy all the time, but having community and a little wine is a good thing.
