AZIZA PE&CE (commonly referred to as “AP”), is a non-profit that uses the arts and fashion to teach life skills primarily to girls, gender expansive and LGBTQ+ youth ages 14 to 24. The organization was originally founded in Baltimore, but has grown regionally, nationally and has developed global partnerships. This show will be the 10th STRUT fashion show, and is called STRUT X: Love Is... The show will celebrate the legacy and history of both AZIZA PE&CE and STRUT itself. STRUT features designers, artists and stylists from all over the country, and utilizes music and clothing to be able to portray meaningful social messages to the audience. Some of the issues we have addressed in our previous shows are: the education system, racial discrimination, LGBTQ+ discrimination, rights of women, and peer pressure. STRUT also allows for the youth who participate to show the confidence they have built over the months they have been practicing for this show.
