Explore mussel and fish habitat up close as we paddle and learn to identify some of our facinating species. As we paddle, experts Katie Sickmann and Marian Schaffer will share why this river is one of the best places in the world for mussels to live. Along the way, we’ll discuss threats facing the river’s marvelous mussels and historic fish and the work the Conservancy and Naitonal Park Service are doing in partnership to conserve rare species.
This is a fully supported paddle. You will be provided with premium kayaks, paddles, and PFDs, as well as a shuttle service from your cars to the initial canoe/kayak landing.
