In his presentation, “Process, Academic Writing for Special Education Students: Successes and Challenges," Cheatham will discuss undergraduate and graduate writing in special education. “As the saying goes, ‘thinking is writing, and writing is thinking,’” said Cheatham. Both successes and challenges of a process-writing approach with a focus on rhetorical structure will be presented and opened up for discussion with attendees.
