NYC CITY TRIP AND ART EXHIBITION OPENINGThe Contest: Westbury Arts has sponsored a trip to NYC for Westbury Schools' students for several years. This year, students in both the Middle School and High School were asked to prepare artwork under the direction of their teachers. The artwork is judged by members of Westbury Arts and 26 winners were selected from each school. The prize for the winning students is a day trip to New York City that includes a tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a boxed lunch and then a Broadway show. This year's trip will take place during Spring Break on April 8th. This program will be led by Westbury Arts Board of Directors member, Chris Hobbs, and chaperoned by Westbury Arts volunteers. The Art Exhibition Opening: The artwork of the student winners will be on display in our gallery during the month of April. Parents, family and friends, as well as, interested members of the community are invited to join us for the opening reception on April 1st, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served. Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our wonderful young emerging artists. Parking is free on weekends and after 6:00 PM on weekdays in the Westbury Village lot across from our gallery. In addition to the opening reception, the exhibition can be visited from April 10th to 25th on: Thursdays from 12 - 4 pm Fridays from 2 - 6 pm, andSaturdays from 10 am - 2 pmThis free event is brought to you by Westbury Arts, a 501C3 Non Profit.
