10AM-3PM: Drop in anytime for Sunrise Community for Recovery and Wellness first annual Peer Support Job Fair, where we will bring together area employers and Peer Professionals and anyone interested in becoming a Peer Professional.  You do not already have to be working as a Peer Professional or even have your Peer Support Certification to join this job fair. Human Resource professionals as well as a representative from Goodwill's Career Center will be available to assist with writing resume's, discussing soft skills, and how your lived experience adds value to your career as a Peer Professional. 1:00-1:30: Presentation "What a Peer Professional is- and isn't" by Sunrise Peer University Coordinators Matt McCoy and Kate Promer. Everyone is welcome! There will be light snacks available and a short presentation on the value of peer support specialists. Human Resource professionals will be available throughout the day to answer questions on how to write a resume, how to develop soft skills and how your lived experience adds value to a Peer Professional career.
