Spring is here and we're ready to hit the trails! Our hosts, the Bike Church, Santa Cruz's Community bicycle shop and tool collective, are hosting our pre-ride and clothing swap. ALL LEVELS WELCOME! Registration is mandatory for all riders, volunteers, guides. At registration, you will be asked for your ride level. Not sure about your level? Schedule 9:00 am — Check-in 9:00- 9:15 am — Volunteer/Guide meeting 9:15 - 9:45 am – Bike Clothing Swap - bring gently used or new bike clothes/kits to exchange with others 9:45 – 10:00 am — Announcements, raffle, group photo 10:00 am — Roll out to trails 12:00 – 2:00pm — Return from ride. While we won’t be hosting a post ride refreshment hour, we encourage you to visit one of our favorite breweries or local restaurants. Location & Parking We will meet at the Bike Church located at 703 Pacific Avenue (enter on Spruce St), Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Limited parking is avaialble across the street at Yan Flower, 617 Pacific Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Bike or carpool encouraged (and get an extra raffle ticket!) Important Reminders -Health: If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Bring a mask to wear if you cannot socially distance. -Safety: Mountain biking is a dangerous sport. When you come riding with us, we assume that you have reviewed risks and accept responsibility for your personal safety. Learn more. Bring your helmet, eye protection, water, sunscreen/long sleeves/long socks; and a mountain bike in good working order -Prepare to ride: MTB takes energy and strength, so eat breakfast, pack water and snacks for your ride with us. -Don't be sorry! Bring locks to secure bikes after the ride; do not leave valuables unattended -Sorry, no demos this month.
