Hear about this statewide and regional initiative for increasing the availability of seeds and plants grown from locally sourced native seeds collected throughout Rhode Island and New England and how the Norman Bird Sanctuary is taking part. We’ll start with a walk to Red Maple Pond to learn about some of plants in the area being utilized in this effort, then hear about the specifics of the project back at Mabel’s Studio, while enjoying a fire and hot beverage. You’ll also learn about local Rhode Island farms also supporting this five-year project.
