Description

Welcome to the first annual Tyson Mason Memorial EMS Conference of Northern Utah. Tyson was a Northern Utah firefighter and paramedic who was dedicated to perfecting his craft, while helping others to do so as well. Tyson was a Weber State paramedic graduate, and a member of the first graduating cohort from Weber State's Critical Care Transport Program. Later, Tyson became an WSU EMS instructor, always encouraging young EMS providers to committing themselves to furthering their education. Tyson passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Strawberry reservoir. Tyson was returning home to his wife and newborn son following a shift on the Intermountain Life Flight helicopter in Roosevelt, Utah. In honor of his memory and commitment to the areas of paramedicine and critical care transport, Tyson's family left a scholarship endowment for those following a similar path. Admission to this conference is free. However, attendees wishing to contribute to Tyson's scholarship fund can do so at the following link.
