The Louisiana Charitable Food Summit invites stakeholders from across the charitable food system in Louisiana to learn, network, and share best practices. Walk away with actionable ideas and concrete opportunities to work together after the summit. The event is free of charge and breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided. • Goal: improve how we address the needs of people experiencing food insecurity in Louisiana • Who should attend--food pantries, food banks, commodity distribution sites, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and other groups or individuals that support the charitable food system in Louisiana • What to expect: presentations and discussions on topics such as funding opportunities, resources and assistance from experts, volunteer recruitment and retention, procurement, food delivery, culturally appropriate foods, policy needs for charitable food system change, and more! We welcome representatives from both traditional and nontraditional charitable food organizations to attend this free event!
