Description

The Lounge is a true speakeasy, a room with a cool 50's retro vibe, located downstairs in Liberty Exhibition Hall. Located in Cincinnati's Northside neighborhood, there is a dedicated parking lot behind the venue. The Lounge has a full bar. Doors will open at 7:00, with the show beginning at about 8:00. Stella and Ben will be joined by one of Cincinnati's finest and most seasoned jazz rhythm sections to bring you duets from a bygone era. During the pandemic the two young artists collaborated virtually on four successful duets, including "Waiting Just For You." About the artists: Stella Heath is a musician-actor-singer-producer and music teacher. Originally from (and now residing in) Northern California, she graduated from the acclaimed Interlochen Arts Academy, an intensive fine arts boarding school in northern Michigan. Her early performing arts education included several years with Cinnabar Theater’s Young Repertory Company. Heath earned a degree in classical acting from Syracuse University, after which she performed as a Shakespearean actor for several years in New York, Florida, St. Louis, California and Beijing. Her bands include The Billie Holiday Project, Bandjango and Stella and the Starlights. Stella is thrilled to be performing in Cincinnati for the very first time. Ben Levin is a blues pianist/vocalist based in Cincinnati, OH. Over the past five years, Ben has brought over a dozen blues/jazz musicians from around the world to Cincinnati to share their talents. Ben has recorded four successful albums on the Vizztone Label Group, earning acclaim for sales and radio play on Billboard, Living Blues, Australian Roots Chart, and other international charts. In May 2023 Ben will release an album on NOLA Blue Records, featuring 84-year-old Louisiana blues legend, Lil' Jimmy Reed. The album release will be celebrated with a 2023 tour taking Ben, Lil' Jimmy and their band across the United States to play blues festivals and clubs. Ben is a proud Blues Music Award (BMA) 2023 nominee for "Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year." The BMA awards ceremony will take place in Memphis on May 11.
