As part of Newark History Museum's Founders Day event on April 2, 2023, you can choose from two different history walks, both starting at the museum. This walk covers the area west of South College Avenue and south of West Park Place. Learn about the buildings, businesses, city services, and people that made this area unique. Both tours will be led by popular local historian Dr. Jim Jones. Tours cover approx. .5 miles and are ADA accessible. Tours will still be held if there is light rain, but will be cancelled due to heavy rain, high wind, or lightning.
