The art of Kokedama literally translates from “koke” meaning moss and “dama” meaning ball. Kokedama is a form of Japanese garden art that is centuries old and tied into the practice of bonsai. There are many ways to display kokedama, in this class we will be creating a dish garden to house your kokedama!
Using small houseplants we will show you a 'shortcut' version of how to create a Kokedama that can then be used as the focal element to your dish garden. Various base materials will be available to nestle your kokedama into the dish along with a small bud vase for you to add fresh cut blooms.
Each participant will create 1 kokedama, 1 dish garden base and 1 bud vase arrangement.
