Did you know you could already be enjoying vegetables from your backyard garden? Join us to learn not only about the various seasons of gardening, but also learn about starting seeds. We'll share what it means to grow with the seasons (including the season we're already in!), demonstrate how to start seeds, and share tools and resources you need to be successful. You will walk away having a better understanding of just what is possible, year round in Cleveland. This will be a hands on demonstration at Bay Branch Farm, an urban vegetable farm that has been growing in the Cleveland area since 2010. Participants will leave with a handful of plants in soil blocks ready to be nurtured in your home garden. As an added bonus, you'll receive a Year Round Planting Plan from Kelly's Creations in the CLE, packed full of information! The workshop will be facilitated by female entrepreneurs: Kelly Crotty, owner of Kelly's Creations in the CLE. In the past 6 years, Kelly has been able to create and install Kitchen Gardens and Landscape Bed Gardens for clients throughout the Greater Cleveland Area. Kelly provides what is necessary for you to have a beautiful, successful and bountiful Kitchen Garden or Landscape Beds of your own! Annabel Khouri, owner of Bay Branch Farm, has been planting seeds and growing vegetables for market since 2010. Originally from Vermont, Annabel moved to Cleveland in 2007 for love and is excited to share her passion for food, flowers and all things farming with the greater Cleveland community.
