Featuring special performances by Macy Gray, Judith Hill, Robby Krieger of the Doors, Brian O'Neal of the BusBoys, and the E Family Band. The evening will begin with a red-carpet reception and silent auction followed by an exciting live auction, many activations, heartfelt tributes, and musical performances by several special guests. The VIP dinner ($250) experience includes a red-carpet reception and hors'doeuvres followed by a goumet open buffet and VIP goody bag. Guitar Center Music Foundation is an independent nonprofit charity focused on granting instruments to music programs in need. Since its inception in 2005. the foundation has put musical instruments into the hands of over 300,000 people nationwide. Last year, we granted over $500,000 to 200 music schools, after school and music therapy programs, and veteran organizations in 41 states. We are presenting a Lifetime Achievement Award to Grammy Award Winner Pete Escovedo (https://peteescovedo.com/), the Latin Jazz Legend and father of Sheila E., as he is retiring from touring this year. Pete and the E Family will also perform at the Event, along with several other special guests. John “JR” Robinson (https://www.johnjrrobinson.com/), one of the most recorded drummers in the world and the Musical Director for David Foster, will be our Musical Director for the House Band with an amazing collection of studio musicians. We will also be honoring local music teachers for all their hard work and dedication to music education.
