Join us Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Dean and Barbara White Center in Merrillville, IN to celebrate the 7th annual World Civility Day!
Coined in 2015 by Chuck Hughes of the Gary Chamber of Commerce, World Civility Day is celebrated annually as the largest civility event in the nation - a day focused on community, civics, and respect.
World Civility Day starts with workshops from 9:30 am to 3 pm CDT with speakers from our local leaders to inspirational youth to a keynote from Cordell Carter of the Aspen Institute.
World Civility Day ends at the Avalon with a black-tie gala from 6 pm to 8 pm CDT in honor and celebration of all those that have supported the development of community.
