Did you know? 5% of college students are in recovery from substance use disorder. People in recovery have unique needs while they are enrolled in higher education. They also contribute tremendous gifts to their institutions - like tenacity, compassion, resilience, persistence, and service. #CollegiateRecoveryDay is a time to honor the students, faculty, and staff of collegiate recovery communities, as well as the family members, friends, and allies that support us. Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of the students who represent our recovery communities. This event is hosted by Gamecock Recovery, with the support of collegiate recovery community partners at Aiken Tech, Allen University, Benedict College, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, Columbia College, College of Charleston, and Greenville Tech. Our gratitude also to the financial support of the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Addiction Services (DAODAS) on this event, and the work of collegiate recovery programs throughout the year. We kindly request that attendees wear purple in support of #CollegiateRecoveryDay!
