Since 2014, she’s quietly emerged as an alternative pop phenomenon. She captivated listeners with a pair of acclaimed albums—Lovers [2017] and Dream Girl [2019]. The latter’s title track “Dream Girl” soundtracked Apple’s Global iPad Pro campaign “Float,” earned a Norwegian Grammy, and landed a sync in the third installment of NETFLIX’s blockbuster To All The Boys series, To All The Boys…Always & Forever, enshrining her as the only artist to contribute music to all three films. Tyler, The Creator recruited her to feature on the platinum-certified “Boredom” and lend background vocals to “911 / Mr. Lonely” [feat. Frank Ocean & Steve Lacy] from his GRAMMY® Award-nominated Flower Boy. Dua Lipa invited her to join forces for the “IDGAF (Anna of the North Remix),” and G-Eazy enlisted her for “Pick Me Up” from his platinum-certified epic The Beautiful & The Damned. Beyond praise from Variety, The FADER, Billboard, NME, and UPROXX, her voice powered songs from HULU’s Rosaline Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Drum & Lace and Ian Hultquist. Now, she opens up more than ever on her 2022 third full-length offering, Crazy Life [Elektra Records]. MARISMARIS is a singer, songwriter, artist and performer who enjoys the weirdness that surrounds her. Her radiant optimism brings the same out in anyone who is in her presence. Her music is a reflection of the liveliness she exudes; it touches on both the light and dark of life’s experiences. This duality is a constant within her story; her music is meant to coexist with the complimentary visuals she conjures up. MARIS was born and raised in Montana and currently is living in LA where she is working on her career continuing to define herself as an artist. She amassed a cult following after her cover of “Fly Me to the Moon” garnered over 5 million views and got the attention of her now management partner, Best Friends (Billie Eilish, Bishop Briggs). Since then, MARIS has spent the past two years honing her craft, writing countless songs, collaborating with the likes of Bruce Wiegner, Sam Farrar, Jenna Andrews, and building her debut body of work. She is currently signed to indie record label Black House and is represented by UTA. Inspired by various mediums of art and life, MARIS’ artistic style is unique due to the cohesive and compelling story-telling she weaves throughout her music, visuals, and choreography. Though the music itself falls within the genre of pop, it is as dynamic as she is, drawing on influences from all kinds of genres and styles. Best experienced live, MARIS and her music have a riveting aura that ensures all in attendance are in a safe place to be their happiest, truest selves. MARIS’ debut single, “Heavenly Bodies”, is out now.
